Terrible pots holes and road break up
Reported via iOS in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:36, Thu 19 January 2023
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4150716.
It appears that “some” patches were filled in November 2022, when it was raining and the holes were just filled and left with water and didn’t have time to set.
This means the tarmac is now just crumbled and at least 3 massive pot holes are back again along the whole stretch from Gorely Road up past Rockford House.
It seems that the whole road would benefit from a complete tarmac covering, a proper Jo lab and not a half hearted patch up job that keeps getting carried out on 5 monthly basis, surely to do it properly would be cheaper in the long run ?
Currently cars are having to divert in the other direction as it’s pretty impassable without grounding bottom of car or danger of breaking alloy wheels and needs sorting ASAP

There hasn’t been any action on this at all. It is getting to the point of the road being unusable.

The status of this report has moved from in progress in Jan to Action scheduled in Feb 23 then back to in progress after I added pictures… this has been NO action at all and no repairs to the road.
There are reports from neighbours who live in. The road elderly neighbours who have had delivery companies and supermarket delivery refusing to drive down the roads which might turn to be life threatening if residents can’t get food deliveries!
The road needs re-tarmac and the drainage sorted as water just dwells in the road making more potholes.
Also when repairs were carried out in 2022 the workmen just shovelled tarmac into the water filled pot holes and reversed their van back over to flatten! No sealing of the tarmac or thought clearing water/drainage at all…
This is unacceptable and needs fixing immediately!
