Once again, the inadequate repair and maintenance of mainly the north side of this road has become dangerous, especially for cyclists travelling downhill in the dark from Hardwick to Wellingborough. As well as unacceptable irregularity of the surface, there are multiple potholes, some of which are potential wheel breakers. The vegetation on the south side is so close to the road that passing delivery vans have to put their northerly nearside wheels onto the muddy verge, as the tarmac has been so eroded that this ever busier road is no longer wide enough for two way traffic. It needs urgent attention, especially with the nearby population increase which will soon render it even busier.
