Railway Bridge
Reported via desktop in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 08:43, Wednesday 18 January 2023
Sent to Reading Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4143483.
I have been working in Napier rd since April last year, the railway bridge on the right as you walk from town is absolutely disgraceful. Its the main walk from Reading bridge to town. The piles of cigarette butts and dirt has been piled up there for months. I have asked numerous road cleaners in the town centre to report this but nothing is being done. I actually watched the guy in the road Sweeper vehicle guy drive up get out with his rubbish bag and do the other side of the bridge. I thought great, but when I walked down there after work it has not been touched. I just don't understand!!!! The empty bottles and rubbish are just getting worse. The homeless are now sleeping under the bridge which I haven't got a problem with but they're creating more rubbish as they just throw it down on to the pavement. at both ends of the bridge are bushes, again full of rubbish. I am actually embarrassed for our town as it's just going downhill and nobody seems to care anymore :-(

The rubbish is building up again, for some reason the street cleaners won't sweep the cigarette butts up, they seem to brush it against the kerb and leave it. both sides of the bridge in the bushes lots of rubbish still, never got done. someone needs to do this everyday. it's hardly a long way from the town centre to just come and sweep everyday.

Good Afternoon, the rubbish is still a problem, the road sweepers should go there everyday and sweep up. it's never free of rubbish.
I can't be bothered to report anymore
