New road surface disintegrating

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category by Jay Aye at 18:55, Monday 16 January 2023

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4137734.

Newlands Road, just West of Kilmarnock road, was recently resurfaces, but the work was incredibly poorly done. The new surface is coming off after a month our so and the amount of gravel left being is a skid hazard to cars, and a slip hazard to pedestrians as it is now piled up on the pavements. Absolutely shambolic.

Updates

  • Potholes are starting to open up in this "new" surface. Absolutely pathetic work by GCC and a total waste of our money.
