Improvement suggestion for a park or green space

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4134265.

Bristol have several parks for the community across the patch and a high number of residents have dogs but also a high number of dog owners have huge anxiety about letting their dog off to roam free in parks in case of any incidents so end up spending a large amount of money to find and pay to utilise secure fields for dogs to burn off their energy, with the added peace of mind they won’t end up getting in trouble by a) not coming back when called/ b) bothering other people who aren’t keen on dogs/ c) dog attacks/ d) knocking children over. You could fence off some areas to design secure dog fields for residents to pay a set price and book to use these facilities, these could be half hourly £6 or hourly £10, making extra profit for the council and adding money to your budget. The outlay would be some fencing or netting around a portion of several fields/ a gate with a secure padlock on it (number code) and mowing the lawn periodically and installing a doggy poo bin in each with set rules for dog owners to pick up their doggy waste after each use. Advertising can be locally in each park and booking can be completed online after payment made by card. I have spoken to a number of owners who think this would be a great idea and in turn could also enhance your council profits. Secure fields across the Bristol area are few and far between - why not make use of this idea and create spaces for residents, without leaving them to travel miles to book in / pay and get to somewhere secure where they are comfortable to let their dogs run around. Local park: Dundridge Park, Bristol but any around the Bristol patch would be ideal.
