Numerous contractors destroying grass verges

Reported via desktop in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 17:49, Fri 13 January 2023

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4125651.

Contractors have been parking along the verges destroying them and also limiting the visibility for cars leaving their properties. They are contractors employed by the owner of the two new builds on Warkton lane. The have complete disregard for the local residents - this has been going on for several months and now the verges are ruined. Complaints to the owner of the new houses seemed to have had little effect.

  • I've sent email complaint to North Northamptonshire. I live at 57 warkton lane and front of my house due to building work opposite. It has completely churned up the front of my verge/ footpath and is getting worse with trenches in mud, struggling to put bins out, My son has a wheelchair , I can't walk on it as its dangerous and I can't cross over road opposite because of vans and contractors this is due to city fibre laying loose soil and not compacting it and veichles opposite churning it up and visibility for pulling out when veichles parked outside my house for long periods of time and for neighbours opposite and surrounding.

  • Ruskin avenue (NN83EQ) in Wellingborough, it’s a mess and we are sick and tired of dragging mud into our houses. When are you going to stop the contractors ripping the grass verges up.
