  • As at 10am today these potholes have STILL not been fixed, although one or two others in the vicinity have been dealt with. It is now 76 days since the initial report - more than twice as long as the 35 day timescale allowed to Riney. Why have these not been fixed? This is now an official complaint.

  • They’ve fixed some potholes next to this but left these untouched for some strange reason. Maybe they ran out of tarmac?

Posted anonymously at 17:37, Sat 1 April 2023

  • I can confirm only one pothole has been repaired to date. Please see attached. The other potholes have not been dealt with.

Posted anonymously at 21:35, Sat 1 April 2023

  • As there has been no joy with obtaining a likely resolution date and the request dates from 12th January, I have raised an official complaint, following the official complaints process. The reference no is 94794. Local Councillors also updated.

Posted anonymously at 21:49, Sat 1 April 2023

  • Just three of many that haven’t been touched at this section of road as of 2/4/2023 4.30pm. They repaired a few metres along but not these. There are more on the other side of the carriageway.

Posted anonymously at 17:04, Sun 2 April 2023

  • As the report originator, I have also made an official complaint on the LBB website (ref. 94808).

Posted by John Perkins at 23:14, Sun 2 April 2023

  • Why is taking so long to repair them? In spite of what the records may say they have definitely not been repaired.

Posted anonymously at 07:58, Mon 3 April 2023

  • Confirmation of the fact not all of the potholes have been fixed.

Posted anonymously at 19:28, Mon 24 April 2023

  • This problem still not fixed and now more pot holes are appearing. There are over 12 different road defects and a sunken area by the road gutter. There is a planned road closure on Crofton Lane on the 14/04 for BT work, would be clever if Bromley/Riney could organise works at the same time.

  • No response to my official complaint (ref. 94808) after 30 days either. Did anyone else get a response? I will now be escalating to the Local Government Ombudsman, as per LBB complaints procedure.

Posted by John Perkins at 20:57, Sat 6 May 2023

  • I am escalating this to the Ombudsman as well as I too raised a formal complaint. This was raised and acknowledged on 29th March. No response or any indication when this will be resolved. I have been in contact with a Senior Council Officer who has not responded when I chased this up recently. I am very disappointed indeed. I have remained very patient and polite during this ongoing process. I visited the location with a local journalist on Friday and can confirm the problem has NOT been fixed. I am very disappointed with the lack of progress.

  • Incredibly 2 have been fixed but there’s 5 other potholes around that were left untouched. . Can only assume it’s Tarmac rationing and they’ll do the rest in another 6 months if they can get hold of more tarmac?!? Or is it a first pothole come first basis?

The potholes and road defects nearer the Traffic Island and road junction near Sparrow Drive still exist. I drove past this late this morning and had to swerve to avoid the road defects.
