  • The Riney crew have just attended and left because they explained to me that they cannot do this work. The council must close the road in advance of the work because of the busy bus route and the cars must be parked elsewhere to give room for the repairs. They also said that this job is much bigger than originally thought, they found at least 5 pot holes when they only had 2 reported to be done. There are also 5 other areas we’re the tarmac is so thin it is only a matter of time before they become holes too. They recommended that a section of the road no.1 - no.10 is scrapped off and rebedded again before laying down a thicker 60mm of tarmac to cope with the traffic load. Can I ask the council to send a surveyor to assess the condition and raise the necessary works. As the depth of two of the wholes are a breach of the Health and Safety Regulations, which the crew suggested they’ll throw a bag of gravel in just to level it off.
