Pothole or holes

Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 17:38, Monday 9 January 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

Very deep pothole/s. Going towards Mottingham just past Co-Op. I was driving home from Orpington tonight and went down it or them, shook the car as so deep.

  • Our contractor has been notified to take the appropriate action.

  • Still not fixed. This isn’t the only large pothole on white horse hill, the middle of the road is full of them

  • Please ask contractors to attend asap here and atleast mark it is logged to be fixed asap? Or can a temporary solution be applied if it will take weeks to fix? This is a main route and a bus route too.

  • 3 weeks after being reported and still nothing has been done. Does it need someone to have an accident or a cyclist to be injured before its fixed?

  • Thank you for your patience, please allow up to 35 days for remedial works to be undertaken. Our repair timescales are outlined at: http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices.

This is due to an unusually high work load during our busiest time of the year. All scheduled works will be completed as soon as possible.

  • This issue was first reported to Fixmystreet on 28/12/22. Well over 35 days. I was told on the phone that nothing is being done as it is a red route. I phoned TFL and this is NOT a red route and falls under LBB remit. The fact that nothing has been done about is is unacceptable. This is imminent health and safety range to cyclists and other road users.

  • Why is this problem not fixed still? The contractor came and patched one whole. What about the trench in the middle of the road? Why couldn’t they fix all the wholes at once? Such a waste of taxpayers’ funds. Again, this is over issue was reported a month ago!

  • Please can you make sure that the whole middle of the road is fixed. I can see that the contractor marked only one hole for repairing where the whole series of holes in the middle of White Horse Hill between the two ends of Victoria Road need fixing. It is an absolute waste of public funds to send a contractor to fix one hole when there are several of them needing fixing in the same location. Please address the issue properly with your contractor. Thank you.

  • This issue was reported nearly 2 months ago now. It need to be fixed urgently. Please send your contractor to fix the whole stretch of the road between the two ends of Victoria road. It is unacceptable that such a major route is left unattended for nearly 2 months. Please resurface this stretch of the road instead of patching various potholes, as the damage to this stretch is beyond reparable now. Thank you

  • The potholes on white horse hill still not fixed. Dangerous for cyclists. Also not good for car wear and tear

Posted anonymously at 15:00, Wednesday 1 March 2023

  • Agree with comments above, there is still an issue to be fixed here. Grateful for the patching up that has been done but can the final sections be patched up or resurfaced? Aware LBB budgets are stretched so it might not be possible to resurface but please attend and fix remaining potholes before they get worse
