Severe congestion between M5 J4 and Stonebridge roundabout, threat to life due to swerving traffic

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 22:09, Thu 5 January 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4092958.

Traffic backs up onto the M5 northbound at J4 during busy periods due to congestion caused by obscured traffic flow along Sandy Lane. I have already reported this to Worcestershire council who refuse to take responsibility. I have witnessed several near misses with people queuing in lane 1 to exit the M5.
