Photo of this report Photo of this report Photo of this report During building works over the years the road has been trenched in a number of places adjacent to our house. The backfill and tarmac has subsequently sunk so that when traffic crosses the trenches a loud crashing and clattering occurs, especially with the numerous farm vehicles that use Main Street. The photos don't really illustrate the problem. These faults are literally within 2 or 3 metres from our house and our living room and bedroom meaning that we are constantly disturbed day and night. iI there any possibility that you could smooth out these defects and allow us some peace and quiet in our home, we would be really grateful especially as we are retired and in our late seventies.   • Despite my asking you two or three times I have received no replies at all. What is happening about the repairs that you indicated you would fix? It is now about 8 months since I first asked if you would please undertake this work

  • I am constantly asking you ( Jan., Feb., March) to advise me what is happening re my request for a road repair but am getting no response. Is it asking too much that you at least have the courtesy to contact me with an answer?

  • Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Unfortunately, at the time of inspection, no safety concerns were found, however, Highways will continue to monitor the area
