Traffic lights

The traffic lights are misleading when queuing westbound at the traffic lights where Highlands Road meets the A27. When traffic travelling westbound is stopped at the first set of red lights (which can’t be seen clearly in the first row of cars queuing) to allow traffic from Highlands onto the A27, the second set of lights (which is more visible to the queuing cars is green.

We saw two near misses in one day alone where the first few cars looking ahead see the second set of lights change to green and go, while cars are still turning out of Highlands Road.
