Pothole

Heading towards the A14 roundabout there is a pothole in the centre of the road.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Regarding this section of Northampton Road, we are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. We usually find these defects are tended to within 13 weeks.

  • Potholes getting bigger. Why does it take so long to repair. Not as though they are so few and far between. You could probably count on one hand the roads in Northamptonshire that don't have any potholes! Maybe take the blinkers off when you do go out to fix potholes and fix all the potholes in that area.

  • The pothole is now rather large and could cause significant damage and injury to road users. Especially those in a small vehicle or on a bike.

  • Pot holes are exactly where car tyres go when going right on roundabout, have to avoid by driving on cats eyes, has been getting quickly much worse recently. Won’t be long until it causes damage to someone’s car I’m sure.
