Dangerous /loose steps
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 15:53, Mon 19 December 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4044550.
The steps have been in a state of disrepair for years now. Following the cold spell it now looks like a few of the steps have started to break away and are very unstable. There are several issues with the steps. The post supporting the handrail is rotten and collapsed and there is no hand support anymore. There are several broken and uneven steps; and now loose steps ready to fall away. The steps are pitch black at night and manoeuvring them is very dangerous. It would be appreciated if something could be done to rectify these issues. I don't think I am exaggerating to describe these steps as very dangerous and not fit for use by the public. It is only a matter of time until some one is injured. Thank you.

We have investigated and do not believe these steps are maintained by LBB as they are not part of the public highway which runs along the bottom of this raised section of Marion Crescent. We believe the areas form part of the titles of the properties 25 to 43.

Hello. I can confirm that the boundary on my deeds does not include the pathway or steps. I have also spoken to my neighbour and it is the same with her. Surely in that case it would have to be maintained by the council. It really is quite dangerous now.
