Tree has split in x3 different places, with top being precariously balanced, tree branches are tangled into overhead cables, tree roots have broken and destroyed pavement. Tree is now on an acute angle and is very unstable making it unsafe to park cars and access/egress to 27/29 Leamington Ave.

  • Dear team, I’ve received an update (16/01/23) stating the this has been ‘fixed’? Could you please elaborate, as I’ve yet to see anyone attend to this problem and the issues remain:

Tree trunk badly split in x3 places, tree leaning at acute angle, branches entangled in overhead cables, roots broken through pavement. Tree now overbalanced and moving precariously.

    Thank you.

  • The works have been added to the priority list for completion, thank you for your continued patience.

Posted by Bromley Council at 15:08, Fri 2 June 2023

  • Dear team, thank you for adding this to the ‘priority’ list after only 9 months. I’m at a loss as to why you have not resolved this issue after 9 months, numerous investigations and other trees being cut down (road works not being removed) and trees not being replanted within the same street? You have failed miserably to deal with the issue and as per the message posted 19 December 2022, 9 months ago the tree has become more hazardous causing serious health and safety issues to the public, surrounding properties and vehicles. Please see new photographs showing further damage to the tree, please note that you can now see through the split. Let’s hope there are no more strong winds within your ‘priority’ timescale, as I’m sure it will be cheaper to resolve the 9 month issue than to pay out against civil claims for personal injury or property damage. I again await patiently for the priority issue to be resolved.

  • Thank you for your comments and apologies for the delays in completion of the works. I have spoken with the contractor asking that they remove this tree as soon as possible.

Posted by Bromley Council at 13:10, Mon 24 July 2023

  • Dear team, it has now been another 3 weeks and still no resolution. I attach further photographs showing continued damage to the pathway. Your recent Community Update leaflet has an article relating to ‘Tree Updates’ and how local councillors are taking this seriously? So as you are unable to deal with this I will now raise the issue with them. Thank you.
