Busses stopping on pedestrian crossing

The East bound busstop on Christchurch Road opposite the Abbey Junior school has been built on the zigzag lines of the pedestrian crossing. It is illegal for a vehicle to stop there. It is especially dangerous for a large bus to do so as West bound traffic cannot see if the crossing is clear on approach. To top it off, this is next to a school.

My councilor received a response saying they will look at improving the situation. The response said it has been like this for 20 years, and there is not enough room to simply move the bus stop.
