Broken manhole cover on narrow pavement

Reported via desktop anonymously at 10:38, Tue 6 December 2022

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4017959.

There is a broken manhole cover on Wadesmill Road, Ware, between the Snowdrop care home and the junction with Kingsway. The hole is currently large enough to trip someone but not yet large enough to fall into. However it has enlarged significantly this morning. As there is poor street lighting along this stretch, and no alternative pavement to use, the danger is particularly acute at night. There is a drop of about six feet to the water level.
