Very high inappropriate lamppost has replaced a long-standing appropriate lamppost.

Reported via desktop in the Street light category anonymously at 15:23, Thu 1 December 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4008586.

Today, without warning, the lamp post at the bottom of our property, which is in a back lane, has been removed and a replacement has been made. The replacement is at least 150cm higher than the previous one. We are extremely concerned how bright this light will be when it goes on, as it will be very invasive into our property in both stature and the light it will give out to the surrounding area !!!

To add even more frustration the lamppost was not cleaned when work was finished and has mud all over it, so looks even more unsightly than it already would’ve done.

We realize that for safely the previous lamppost needed to be made more secure at the bottom, but to replace it with such an enormous extreme.

Regards
