Painted sign on bridge

Reported via mobile in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 10:01, Thu 1 December 2022

Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4007524.

This "30mph" sign is painted on a bridge (painted in both directions for both carriageways) this is actually a 60mph road. Is this an official Highways sign or a adhoc traffic calming measure that has been painted on? Is it legally enforceable?

  • Still not rectified. These are hand painted signs, not highways/LCC authority installed. These photos are from Google Earth showing they have been there for some time
