Empty tree pit on High Street

Opposite travel agents on west side of High Street, as per attached 7am Thursday 1 December.

For planting this “planting season”? The current empty pit is a, potential, trip hazard....

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Historically, colleagues have attempted to replant the empty tree pit for the tree to be vehicle damaged shortly afterwards, unfortunately there is not sufficient space for the tree pit. The enquiry has been referred to highways so the tree pit can be decomissioned.

  • The order for this repair has been raised with the Council’s contractor and remains outstanding within their planned schedule of works.
