Massive rectangular deep pothole before driveway to end railway cottage on a32 opposite sages lane

Appeared last couple of days from nowhere. Huge, deep rectangular pothole under the oak tree just before the driveway parking on the end railway cottage opposite junction to sages lane. Noticed it Monday 21st November. Just appeared that size. Came home this afternoon poor openreach van parked in driveway (said cottage vacant) with 2u tyres mobile van from petersfield to change a flat on front passenger side. Guess he went through it. Needs filling ASAP!
