Inappropriate & Lazy Parents Parking on Pavements

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 09:08, Wed 23 November 2022

Sent to Reading Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3985950.

Parents of the school at the end of the road - St Michael's, continue to park on the pavement, however this parent took it to the next level and COMPLETELY blocked the right of way for pedestrian users. There are vulnerable residents of the close who rely on wheelchairs who do not have use of the pavement especially in wet weather being forced to use the road. I have contacted the School - who do not assist with the problem at all.

Updates

  • Parents are still being inconsiderate and parking on the pedestrian right of way. Turn Dee Road into a school street. Parents also park directly in the carriageway of Dee road by both Schools blocking drivers visibility- baring in mind there are Zebra crossings this is an accident waiting to happen.
