Blocked roadside drains

Letter box gullies are blocked on S bend which increases flood water on road during heavy rain. Surface water can then also drain off road into driveways at Oak Range and Esperanto causing water level in private ditches getting too high and flooding septic tanks and domestic drainage. This has in the past caused water to back up into property through the drains.

Updates

  • Since reporting the problem there has been no substantial rain. NCC have reported inspecting the road, see no reason for remedial work at the moment but will keep it on their inspection list. Unless they inspect during heavy rain they will not find a problem. Therefore, when further flooding occurs photos will be taken and sent to the link which they have provided
