Vehicles parked on grass verges
Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 12:18, Mon 14 November 2022
Sent to Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3962555.
Vehicles are parked on the grass verges owned by the car sales business, that obstructs the view of vehicles leaving the business when crossing the pavement. This increases the unnecessary risk of collision with a pedestrian. The property next to the business also has a restricted visual splay of the pavement because vehicles parked on the verge next to the driveway causing the same issue.

Leicestershire County Council only has powers to deal with the issue of parking on verges/ footways or carriageways, where there are waiting restrictions present, or in the instance that the vehicle is blocking all or part of a dropped kerb that is intended for use by pedestrians to cross a road. The County Council, expects all road users and businesses to be considerate of where they park their vehicles to ensure that all highway users are not inconvenienced and park in accordance with the Highway Code, however I appreciate that this is not always the case.
