Branch is approx. 6 foot
Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 13:36, Sat 12 November 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
Following recent pruning, the branch shown is horizontal at approx 6foot in height. When walking up to the junction from The Avenue, you cannot see this until you go to turn the corner. This is a dangerous obstacle at night with car headlights from the junction blinding you.

Thank you for the enquiry, we have completed works to the criteria set out in the Tree Management Strategy, no further action will be taken on the tree.
If we remove that limb, it is poor arborical practice and can allow secondary infection into the tree, this then could kill the tree. As set out in the Tree Mangement Strategy, Bromley council will not complete poor arboricultural practices.

This is a low hanging branch that is a hazard to pedestrians at head height. To your comment on poor arborical practice other limbs on the tree above this one have already been removed.

Just to confirm nothing has been done, no pruning of the limb and it is still a hazard to pedestrians.

Thank you for the enquiry, the tree has been inspected and appropriate action to reduce the tree away from the sign has been taken, sadly removal of the limb would be bad arboricultural practice and does not stay in line with the Tree Management Strategy that the trees are under.
