Broken pavements

Sent to Enfield Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3955493.

The pavements in this street are an eyesore: uneven and dangerous slabs sticking up because of tree roots (people have fallen over and hurt themselves) and, tarmac patches randomly. The road itself is also in need of Re-doing: potholes all over the road - some mended, some not: looks like an ugly patchwork blanket . We are supposed to live in an conservation area; it looks more like a neglected old street

  • There have been repairs on the pavements, but really ugly: a tar patch here, another one there etc. Why didn’t they do the whole pavement?? Now it looks like an ugly patchwork! The road still has several potholes though . But by all means, thank you for the first bits.

  • As far as I am concerned, the street looks the same and neglected, and the autumn leaves are still here, when wet causing accidents.

  • The potholes are becoming bigger, the pavements are just a patchwork blanket and the council has still not removed the autumn leaves. Apparently they came once but this is not enough. The worse about this council is that they refuse people to replace their old roofs and broken crazy paving because this street is part of a ‘conservation’ area - today it looks more like a neglected, tired and dirty typical London suburb streer…

  • Derwent Road looks still like a neglected, old and broken street. On top of this insult of a road and pavements; the Enfield building control team refuse people to replace their damaged and old (definitely no period) drives’ pavements and roofs’ tiles; the overall look of the street is just one of sheer neglect.
