Blocked drains.

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 11:26, Fri 4 November 2022

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3938555.

The drains in Lanfranc Road Worthing BN147ES are blocked. This has been reported several times since January and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Somebody has cleared the detritus and muck from the drain grille outside number 23, but the drain itself is blocked with muck causing overflowing. WSCC stated that it will monitor free flowing rainwater during rain. I doubt this will happen at night, or early morning, or early evening. They have also stated that work will be carried out in 2024!! Does the Council believe we will not have rain until then? During recent heavy downfalls the rain has overflowed onto the pavement. Is the Council willing to pay compensation due to flooding into the houses?
