Vibrations upstairs when buses go past

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:59, Tue 1 November 2022

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3930580.

I have lived in my house for 9 years and never experienced any problems with vibrations of vehicles before some roadworks were completed in August this year and a new "speed bump" put in amongst other things. When a bus goes past (if not stopping for drop off/ pick up) the vibrations from the vehicle appear to cause the bedroom floor upstairs to shake & wake me up. As I am on a main bus route this happens every 20 minutes during the day (if the buses do not have to stop) and as I work nights it is not particularly helpful. I do not seem to notice the vibrations when other vehicles or heavy goods traffic goes by. There is a speed limit in place and the top part of Richmond road has other traffic calming measures. I have noticed the vibrations seem to occur with buses travelling uphill rather than downhill.
