Sent to Norfolk County Council and North Norfolk District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3923970.
Trying to pull out from Holkham Village minor road ont the A149 coast road is very hard to do for car drivers , the west wall has been lowered for visibility but the East side the wall patrudes further out making it difficult to see on coming traffic , the Bus stopis to the Est of this T junction and people waiting for buses can also add to the problem , many times cars coming from the East , whilst indicating to turn left have misjudged which left road they wanted to turn into , from the East , the first turn past the bus stop is into Holkham Village , the second turn takes you up Park Road to the Hall . But whilst hovering trying to turn Right onto the A149 many times I am pipped at by Motorists on the A149 which I csn't see , There are no Road Junction Signs or Mirror to see if it's safe and no pre-warning signs on the A149 to say Traffic could be entering ftom the left at that point . It is a Hazard and I don't wish to be killed proving my point ,

Please note , when I applied to NNDC they said that I can't have a Mirror even though other sites in this area do have mirrors and signage warning drivers on the main roads of the dangers BUT for whatever reason the Council will wait until someone is Dead before they will do anything to make the area safe .

We appreciate that there are reasons that the Council don't understand because they don't live here but even SALT has a mirror opposite their site because their view is blocked

I understand that a wrongly placed mirror could reflect the Sun Rays into motorsts eyes but I have seen other blind junctions in Norfolk that have electrical instruments in place to warn Main Road Motorists that a vehicle is waiting to join the main Highway , could such a warning sign be put in place near this junction ? As vehicles trying to access The Main Highway from Lady Ann Drive frequently have problems too .

Along The Strait through Holkham Village on The A149 from Wells direction are several frequently used left entrance's & exit roads into or out of properties , two roads into the village before the Park Road / Lady Anne Drive ( Beach Road) and A149 West To The Burnham's & East to Wells-next-the-Sea none of these roads or access points have warnings that they are there , neither does Lady Anne Drive for traffic travelling from The Burnham's , This Section of RED road is a 40mph limit but ignored by many drivers , I think the Speed limit is too high.

The Land-Lord's Agent sees no reason to make it safe or to display warning signs to any motorist of any risk of death by obscured view of traffic .
