Pedestrian crossing inadequate

Reported via mobile anonymously at 23:09, Sat 29 October 2022

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later

Pedestrian crossing is not controlled on slip road to M1 North. Traffic on roundabout keep going in other lanes and overtake to get on to M1 N slip road. As such it is scary and life threatening crossing this road as traffic is coming from all lanes at high speeds with some red light jumping. The road is constantly covered in debri. This junction has no artificial control to protect pedestrians and markings are poor. Surprised only 0ne person sadly killed crossing this section. Something needs to be done to make it safer. Change the three lanes round roundabout to two would help. Help slow traffic down and stop them speeding to overtake.
