Recent change of light fitting causing intrusive light into garden and house

Reported via mobile in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 19:04, Tue 25 October 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3914633.

The street lights have recently been changed we were unaware this was happening. Unfortunately the new light by our house is much brighter and far more intrusive with significant light now in our front garden and is now on our house with light into the bedrooms. Please see pictures, I do have a picture of our house but as this is a public forum I am unfortunately unable to publish it. The light also seems to have been hung further from the pole into the small lane which you can see from the pictures is significantly over the road.

The light is on all night this is something that I have not noticed before, as the previous light wasn’t as intrusive or previously it may have be turned off late at night. I do question the need to have this light here at all, let alone on all night considering there is no traffic passing overnight.

A few years ago the pylon was moved several metres away from the slight bend of the lane to allow for a new driveway for another property, this was done without us being informed. Now with the change of lighting it is becoming a nuisance and I question the actual need for the light as it is no longer by the bend and there is no traffic. Please can this be looked into and corrected ASAP.
