The Drain in the Road directly infront of my Driveway
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3911461.
The Drain as marked on the map, which is situated on the road ( A54 ) is Blocked . It is completely blocked, compacted with mud. Now during even moderate rain fall the rain runs down the road like a torrent , reaches the drain in question and due to the blockage diverts straight into my property. With heavier rain expected due to encroaching winter the danger will only increase and could effect the foundations of my property, causing serious damage as well causing my driveway to sink and also potential internal property flooding. This weekend the flood water almost reached the side door, all due to the neglected blocked drain. It is blocked around 10 inches down so does not take any water into it and we can only assume due to the sheer volume of water travelling down the road and onto our property that this drain wont be the only road drain that is blocked on this road, there will be road drain blockages further up towards sommerford park too. It is now a matter of urgency that you deal with this increasingly dangerous issue, before more serious damage occurs to the property in question. PLEASE unblock the neglected Drain ASAP.
