Huge deep holes at side of road which are trapping cars

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:12, Mon 24 October 2022

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3910510.

Blind Lane, is a very narrow lane to Lurgashall village. A lorry forced its way past a car and pushed into the farm hedge destroying the bank some months back. Since then more and more vehicles have done the same. People now assume it is a real passing place in the lane which it really isn’t. It has caused VERY deep muddy ruts where cars/vans etc regularly get stuck and need pulling out. 3 cars got stuck that I know of in this weekend alone.

Leconfield Estate own the hedge and field, highways control the lane which now gets blocked to traffic on a regular basis by stuck vehicles. Please sort something out between you, either build up the bank again to stop people trying to use it it as a passing place or flatten it and tarmac it over after buying it off Leconfield and make it into a proper one. Whatever, it needs to be done before nasty damage gets done to cars or people.
