Broken garden waste bin left by bus stop.

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 11:01, Thu 13 October 2022

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3887130.

This lime green garden waste bin was dumped by the bus stop/street bin 3 weeks ago. The wheels have collapsed, the sides are broken & it has no lid. It appears to contain mulch, but passers by are putting their own general rubbish in there - and it is attracting the attention of bored school kids waiting for a bus.

The number 1 on the side suggests it is from a household somewhere, but with the other items I’ve reported, it appears to have been dumped by contractors, rather than taking it to the tip.

(Please do not confuse this with the smaller darker Green household bin with a lid, in the garden of 237)

Updates

  • The bin & contents have not been removed - but someone has helpfully tipped it on its side. The contents are not mulch, but dried out tarmac. My neighbour reported it directly to Richmond Council, a week before me.
