Poor timing of lights

The lights on the roundabout both sides of a5 have been changed recently and are now not letting enough cars through. This is now causing major tailbacks to the junction before the roundabout. Although congestion here is normal this has been 100 times worse this week. The lights on the road about between the A5 from MK to the A5 towards hockcliffe are timed wrong so when the lights from the A5 from MK are green the next ones are red which only lets so many cars through and onto the roundabout. It’s causing at least 15 minutes of traffic for no reason. I travel this route for work and haven’t had this issue before now
