Remedial Work Substandard & a Trip Hazard

Reported via mobile in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 11:05, Tue 11 October 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3882029.

In the brand new cycle / path beside Pytchley Road, just before the bridge over Slade Brook (when heading towards the A14) workmen have cut a trench at right angles to the new path. However when they then filled in the trench they have only filled the trench to about one inch below the existing path level. It is now a dangerous trip hazard; I know this to be true because I TRIPPED over it last night and sprawled flat on my face. (The picture was taken after I tripped).

Further to the dangerous repairs which I am reporting, the same work crew have cut multiple trenches in multiple places, ALL WITH SUBSTANDARD REMEDIAL WORKS on the brand new cycle / foot path beside Pytchley Road, between the railway bridge and the (Holdenby and A509 and Orion Way and Carina Way ) roundabout. It's a shame because it was a lovely new smooth surface before they messed it up in multiple places....
