Dangerously pavement

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:54, Tue 20 September 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3836355.

Pavement is too narrow for pedestrians to pass each other and difficult for wheelchairs/pushchairs. Traffic often travels downhill much faster than the 30mph limit and passes dangerously close to pedestrians. Strangely, the road has excess hatched space in the centre. It would be sensible to gift this space back to pedestrians, introduce traffic calming measures to reduce road speed and encourage cycling by marking out cycleways at the edge of the road + removing the central white line
