Illegal parking outside school.
Reported via iOS in the Car parking category anonymously at 15:48, Thu 8 September 2022
Sent to Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3812464.
Ongoing issues for years, junior school is aware and they say it’s not their problem. I’ve spoken to police and apparently it’s not their problem, I’ve spoken to council local and county and it not their problem. I’ve reported this loads of times to everyone and yet it still happens. They are blocking entrance to high school fields, they are parking on chevrons in the no parking zone. There will be another 4 class loads of children coming here and associated parents, how bad is it going to get? This is an restricted area as it a lane. There is too much traffic allowed in a smal area.

No matter how many times I report this to all relevant public bodies, Police, council, highways, schools it still carries on. Even when I send cars coaches blocking my drive, parked on school zig zags and chevron area plus h block parking! I get the same old excuse, can I speak to the people who cause it, last time I did that I was physically assaulted and because the person who assaulted was injured I’m the one who was threatened with Police charges! This is the responsibility of the authorities, it’s no good sending a camera car out now and again there needs to be a permanent solution to all this. CCTV parking cameras issuing fines automatically, restricted access at school times only for residents,in vechiles. They are expanding the school how bad is it going to be then. As I’ve said many time before to all public bodies, there will be a death outside here of either a child or a parent. I will then be contacting the press to explain everything I’ve tried to get resolved by inadequate public representatives! The whole area needs double yellow lines as all neighbours suffer rude and aggressive behaviour by selfish parents and poor legal controls. Someone will need to take responsibility for this as this is what you are paid to do, manage situations!!
