Street lights hidden in trees

Reported via mobile in the Street lighting category anonymously at 17:58, Mon 29 August 2022

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3788242.

We have 3 Street lights around the junction of Water Lane and Lawford Way that are hidden in the trees! The light coming from them is pretty poor and will be dangerous for school kids and other pedestrians in the winter.

  • We are still waiting for an update or best of all some action to sort this, the clocks change soon and the hidden lights will make this major bus route unsafe for pedestrians on the paths.

  • Sadly this problem is still not sorted, the street lights are just lighting up the tree tops! I have now asked Hampshire County Council directly to sort this situation, hopefully it will get done before the long winter nights but who knows?
