Despite reporting rife unlicensed multi occupancy throughout the borough and in Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green in particular, there has been no investigation despite the ongoing fly tipping from these properties.

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 06:25, Sat 27 August 2022

Sent to Enfield Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3784095.

The flats at the top of Stonard road, where it meets Hoppers road continue to contain unlicensed multi occupants using public bins for their household waste bags.. The bins outside the newsagent and across the road continue to overflow and be surrounded with their waste every day with no respite. They abandon their vehicles on Bourne Hill - generally vans and continue to affect the neighbourhood. The flats on top of the firework shop on Green Lanes and the shop opposite are also rife with unlicensed multi occupancy and this week I watched about ten men move into a tiny flat. The council are doing nothing and the borough is swiftly deteriorating and looking like a fly tip.if the council is attempting to tackle this I would like to know. I had a reply a while ago stating they would look into a particular property I had alerted them to, but I still have heard nothing. I can see on this site the many frustrated reports of fly tipping - again by unlicensed multi occupants - outside the abandoned church on Green Lanes. I implore the council to investigate these properties. But they will not. People use Fix my street because they do not trust the council and their own web site. I have forwarded the actual flytipping figures to the Labour Party - as seen on the Fix my street site. They need to sign the bins with a warning - the way that other efficient boroughs do. I am not sure if Lorraine Bryant is head of waste services or if Joanne Drew Housing, but the borough is broken and council management have been given huge pay increases , yet the situation is worsening each day. These unlicensed properties do not pay council tax to cover services for tens of people in each flat, so our council taxes increase and we are suffering. It is a tragedy for our borough. I could even walk Joanne through Winchmore Hill and Palmers Green and point her to these properties. Alas there is never co operation between the council and our community. We are crying out for help. See Next Door posts and this site for Enfield’s distress. The issue has exacerbated over the past few years.
