Dried up lake

Reported via mobile anonymously at 15:27, Sun 21 August 2022

Sent to Enfield Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3770212.

Obviously, there has been some phenomenally hot weather recently, but there has now been a little rain and the temperature has dropped considerably. The lake beside the roundabout at the top of Cat Hill is just a big, muddy puddle now and the recent rain doesn’t seem to have made any difference. The road drainage used to be linked to the lake, but I’m not sure if this is still the case since the housing development was made. Does anyone know who is responsible for the well-being of the lake and it’s inmates these days please? One sad little coot is all I’ve seen lately.

Updates

  • The lake is still empty, despite the rain. I think L&Q, as the developers of the site, may actually be responsible for the lake as it is within the grounds. As I am not a resident of Bolingbroke Park, their online form to report problems can’t be completed properly. I shall try to contact them again this week.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • I have contacted L&Q twice now. I received an acknowledgement to my first email, but nothing more. I have heard nothing from the Council.
