Poor Road marking on NEW roundabout layout

Reported via desktop in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 12:01, Sun 14 August 2022

Sent to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3752656.

On the Reading exit side of this roundabout on the A33 it has a short dual lane for about 100 meters and the road markings show ONE arrow at the end of the two lanes becoming one lane. The warning to drivers comes AFTER the fact.... TOO LATE. There are now lots off near accidents and drivers hooting at each other as they suddenly find the two lanes have narrowed into one lane. A simple solution would be to add at least TWO more arrows closer to the actual roundabout so that drivers in the RIGHT lane are made aware from the beginning of the ingress point that the cars on the left have the right of way and they have to feed into the left lane. PLEASE ACTION THIS SOON BEFORE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT. THANK YOU.
