Footpath non-negotiable

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 08:07, Mon 8 August 2022

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3737453.

The already narrow pavement is so overgrown by the shrubs that it is extremely dangerous to walk along there. In fact, I would advise against it as it is impossible to see oncoming traffic until on this fast road it is very close. I negotiated it yesterday to get to the post box and pushed myself right into the shrubs. This is an urgent issue.

Updates

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 08:41, Mon 5 September 2022

  • The vegetation has been well cut back, the clearing up, however, leaves something to be desired as there are plenty of small twigs etc left on the footpath which make walking along there very unpleasant. One therefore has to constantly look to the ground to see where one is stepping instead of looking up to take note of any traffic approaching on this side.
