The Entire area of Swanston Street and Strathclyde St

Reported via desktop in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 14:23, Wed 3 August 2022

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3727947.

In 2014, we were all inconvenienced with the road works due to the Commonwealth Games but what has happened since then is absolutely shocking .

The bottom of Strathclyde St on Swanston St always had give way lines and signs , taken away for traffic lights during the games, removed thereafter and no line markings . The actual reality of the kind of accident that is one day going to happen is beyond unthinkable.

We also to make matters worse have all the buildings sites on almost ever corner , workers cars obviously parked everywhere , trailers parked up and down every street , children in particular are likely to be severely hurt, articulated trucks up and down all the streets around , can,t turn or reverse even sometimes becuase abandoned trailers and cars are blocking everywhere .

THIS IS THE 4TH TIME I'VE FILLED IN FORMS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE .

We also with less space have to manoeuvre around the large the pot holes with the clyde walk way partially closed not for almost 8 months , we get a lot of cyclist coming along Swanston Street to rejoin the pathway behind us ...it is dangerous and I know this 1st hand not only from standing outside our premises but actually cycling myself its horrendous.

Commonsense MUST prevail here, even if roads not fixed please for the love of god get Give Way Lines at the bottom of Strathclyde Street and get the trailers off the roadside and pavements. Thank you Christine Morrison
