Dangerous junction

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 17:09, Sun 31 July 2022

Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3720128.

Many vehicles (it is worsened when an event is on at Abbey Park that they haven’t made parking provisions for) park all the way up to the junction of Abbey Meadows and Abbey Lane. This makes it a blind junction from both sides and is dangerous when turning in or out. Many times this results in having to reverse a long distance between parked cars as well with more people backing up behind you as they can’t see you reversing from around the corner.

This needs either a double yellow line leading up to the junction or a major rework making the road wider and safer to navigate. The junction itself on a normal day with no roadworks is dangerous enough, the current situation makes it even worse.
