Speeding

Sent to Waltham Forest Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3718778.

Something needs to be done about cars speeding, coming from Waltham Way and Mansfield Hill. Just recently there were 2 very serious accidents. 15 July: car crash involving 3 cars which caused Low Hall Close, Mansfield Hill from roundabout to be closed for the entire day. 16 July: accident on Waltham Way by golf course, again road closure for most of the day.

Also, the constant stream of traffic makes it impossible to cross the road from Low Hall Close to reach the bus stop on the other side of Mansfield Hill.

The situation is not sustainable. Please take action before someone gets killed. Thank you

  • As usual speed cameras are only installed in areas where it is a money making scheme, nothing to do with road safety. In this particular location either speed cameras or road bumps would make a real difference as people are ignoring the speed limit, making it dangerous for all road users.
