A47, immediately in front of the Middleton Steakhouse, there are some sunken ironworks.

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 14:28, Friday 29 July 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

The sunken ironworks are frequently hit by fast moving HGVs and cause a loud booming noise. The frequency and volume of the noise generated seems to be increasing and keeps local residents awake throughout the night. It would be appreciated if someone could check the ironworks cover and determine if a repair could be affected to remove the disturbance. The issue has been evident since we moved in Nov 21. Planned roadworks early 2022 and recently in June 22 did not address the problem.
