In front of 2 Stockmore St there is a huge overgrown tree which makes the sidewalk impassable, forcing people to walk in the middle of the street.

  • Hi, can you confirm you mean the bush in the front garden of 2 Stockmore road? if so this is a private property and not owned or maintained by Oxford City Council. The tree on the opposite side of the road outside No3 is due for routine work.

  • Yes, the tree outside 2 Stockmore. I understand that it is private property, but it extends far over into public property - i.e. the sidewalk and road. Is there a way to get it trimmed back so it is just in private property and not blocking the sidewalk?

  • Trees all along Frys Hill Road are so low you have to duck under them to walk on the pavements and it makes it very difficult to see traffic when turning on to the road

  • This tree is still a nuisance and causing an obstruction as of Oct 2022
