Overgrown Hedges Obstructing the Pavement
Reported in the Road or pavement obstruction category anonymously at 17:29, Wed 3 July 2013
Sent to Harrow less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 369915.
This is an ongoing problem. The council plant fast growing conifer trees. They overhang the pavement. They get removed, and the same get planted. Repeat.
However, now there is a cycle path alongside, so it's either get hit by trees or cyclists!

This would be a good claim against the council! A cyclist swerves to miss the branches as they nearly poke his eyes out....... the cyclist was forced over by the tree's and the pedestrian was looking down so he didn't get poked in the eyes by the tree's...Then BAM both hit each other!!! Where there is a blame there is a claim....lol
Be-careful to cyclists whilst on the road Lesley we are all human being at the end of the day.

I was given a Case Number by the Council, but nothing has, as yet, happened. Still causing a problem. Also, because of the overgrown nature of the trees, the bases are rubbish traps.

Mate I reported a similar situation near me too but nothing has been done! Seems Councils don't give a damn these days and they always have some excuse of saying its due to cut-backs that we can no-longer do these jobs! I suggest that these highly paid sat on their arse's management get off their arse's off the leather seat - put down the coffee and do some grafting themselves.
