Pub benches and large advertising sign in road

Reported via desktop in the Benches / bicycle racks category anonymously at 20:03, Wed 20 July 2022 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3692291.

The landlords of The Eagle pub in Eagle Lane, Watchfield have moved 2 picnic benches to the front of the property which is causing high levels of noise in a residential area, they have been there since Jubilee weekend, the Parish Council have received complaints from local residents (not just residents in or backing onto Eagle Lane). Today the Landlords have added a large yellow advertising board in front of the benches, presumably to claim the road as theirs and to avoid cars hitting the benches. The benches are also taking up valuable parking spaces causing customers and residents to park dangerously on the corner of Eagle Lane or on the pavements in the High Street, obstructing buses and other road users.
